SPIDER-MAN
Spider-Man (Spider-Man), the alter ego of Peter Parker, is a superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer/editor Stan Lee and writer/artist Steve Ditko, Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1, 1962), during the Silver Age of Comics. Lee and Ditko conceived the character as an orphan who was raised by his aunt (May Parker) and uncle (Ben Parker) in New York and who, as a teenager, has to deal with the normal daily struggles of his age, in addition to those as a crime fighter. To combat his enemies, the creators gave him super strength and super agility, the ability to adhere to most surfaces, the skill to shoot spider webs through wrist-mounted mechanisms (invented by himself and named “web-shooters”), and the precognitive reaction to danger called “spider-sense.” Peter Parker acquired his powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
