Users who are still enjoying the MAX version of Garena’s Battle Royale must download the original version by March 21, 2023. This measure forces FFMAX users to migrate back to the FF Original and comes from the game developer, who announced through a statement that they will not bring new updates to Free Fire Max starting this month.
According to the company, this measure was taken to bring improvements and focus on just one version of the game, in this case the ”Original”. Check below the official statement from the company:
“As part of efforts to improve the experience of Brazilian Free Fire players, we request that all follow the upcoming game updates in the original Free Fire app starting March 21, 2023. Brazilian users of Free Fire Max can link their guest accounts using social media login or email until March 21, 2023. Download Free Fire now on the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and link your account.”
WARNING: The Free Fire Original will not end; the version will continue to receive its updates as usual.
Will FFMAX Return?
With the termination of its activities, it’s hard to say if it will return or not in the near future. However, it’s estimated that it won’t return to the app stores anytime soon, considering that in recent updates up to the latest one, the original game has been showing various issues on many devices.
