Every year we have the international and regional Free Fire championships and this year will be no different, check out all the championships confirmed by Garena so far;
FF Cup
On February 25th, the FF Cup 2023 began, with 18 teams in the qualifying phase and only 12 advancing to the final scheduled for March 25th.
Tournament Format:
There are 18 teams divided into 3 groups, 6 in each. The teams are competing on 4 maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, Alpine, and the debut of the Nova Terra map in the Brazilian competitive scene. Each kill is worth 1 point, and the first kill in the match is worth 3 points. Each team receives between 0 and 12 points based on their position in each drop.
LBFF 9
The LBFF (Brazilian Free Fire League) will start on April 15th and its final is scheduled for August 5th!
In the last LBFF, the format was the same as the FF Cup, however, changes may occur. More information will be released on the social media of @ffesportsbr!
FFSI (New Championship)
Garena: “This year, we will launch the FFSI, a new multiregional tournament designed to focus on rivalries between selected competitive regions. Set to occur in May over three weekends, the FFSI will host 18 teams from the MCPS regions, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Europe, MEA, Taiwan, and Pakistan.”
WORLD SERIES
The championship will return in November 2023, bringing together the best teams from around the world, including Latin America and Brazil. The World Series will feature a prolonged duration in 2023 and a very different format, check it out:
Garena: “The Group Stage will take place over two weekends, with 18 teams competing for 12 spots in the Grand Final. The teams will be divided into 3 groups of 6, with 2 groups facing off in 6 games each during the group stage. The top 12 teams based on total points will advance to the Grand Final, which consists of 18 matches held over three days. The final standings will be based on the total points accumulated by the 12 finalist teams over the three days.”
